Who is Kayla?
It is so great to meet you! I’m Kayla - a wife, dog mom, dreamer, and wedding photographer.
I was born and raised in Frisco, Texas, and after completing my bachelor’s degree at Texas Tech University (wreck ‘em!) I moved right back to where it all started with my sweet husband and our stubby-legged miniature dachshund, Winston Wilbur. When I am not capturing precious moments, I am working in the nonprofit world as a marketing manager, but my favorite place will always be behind the lens.
My passion for photography is rooted in the idea of generational photos. The idea of a physical memory that will be shared even when we can no longer be the ones to share them inspires me in the best way. Some of my favorite childhood (and adulthood) memories are of my family clicking through old film reels as my parents and grandparents recounted the exact moment of the photo. It is those memories that will outlive their subjects for generations to come.
I aspire to capture not only your bridal party and family portraits, but the laughs shared at the alter, the texture in your bouquet, the looks your grandparents share as they slow dance better than everyone else, the detail in your dress, and more. As a photographer I fully believe that my job runs deeper than bringing a nice camera to your wedding. It is about connecting with couples and being their safe person on their biggest day. It is about providing a gallery that will spark all of the emotions you felt when you said “I do.” It is about being my most authentic self, to capture your day in the most authentic way.
If you think we would be a great match, I would love to hear from you!
